“Although our stay was brief, we truly enjoyed our time at the Lazy Lizard. The rooms are large, meticulously clean and quiet. It shows that there is a lot of thought and attention put into the details.
Due to our flight time, we arrived after office hours but were kindly accommodated. Aidan even booked our reef tour for us—it was spectacular! We received so much helpful info on what to do, where to eat and where to go.
The beds were comfy, and we slept well. We would highly recommend a stay here.”

20th October 2024 - Loved staying here! Very quiet and super clean with everything you need. Preferred it over being in a busy overcrowded resort. Owners are lovely. Thanks for a great stay! We will definitely come back again!

Aiden welcomed us to the lovely Lazy Lizard. We were only staying for one night but room was spotless and so spacious with secure parking right outside the door. The location was perfect for us because it was so quiet and relaxing and only a little way to walk into town via the beach (or they have an easy and reliable bus service you can orginise to pick you up).
18th December 2024 - We stayed a couple of weeks in December. As we had a trailer boat it was ideal location as there was plenty of parking on the street as it's not on the main road
Rooms are very clean and tidy. It was very quiet while we were here. Beds were comfortable with one double and a single. Basic cooking with microwave and electric fry pan and a community BBQ near pool.Staff were friendly. Nice stay

Great room (KING) nice & roomy & clean throughout.
Value for money as it had all the things you would need for a short or extended stay. The units are off the main road, very easy to access & not far from the main part of Port Douglas & were very quiet & relaxing.
The lads are welcoming, friendly & always happy to help.
November 2025 Wonderful little motel! The Lazy Lizzard is a small, loving run motel and the best we had booked in 10 weeks. We only wanted to stay 1 night and then stayed 4! Aidan and Alex the owners, are super friendly and accommodating, have a lot of tips ready for the Port Douglas area and also help with tour bookings. The room, bathroom and kitchen are equipped with everything equipped with what it takes. The small forecourt has a table and 2 Chairs and is wonderful with plants overshadowed. Even the car is not in the sun. A small practical laundry with washing machines and drying racks is available. Thank you Aidan and Alex! We enjoyed it very much and would come Anytime again!

Perfect stay
Fabulous place, great hosts.
Lovely, comfortable room with a useable, equipped kitchen. Nice pool. Fine location. The owners are the best, making transfer reservations, and booking tours and just being so helpful and nice (even before we arrived).
